Lioness Arising

In Lioness Arising, author Lisa Bevere delves into the world of lionesses and shows us what we can learn from them about being strong women of God, arising to make a difference in our generation. She touches on such aspects of lionesses as their unity and teamwork, their protective nature, and their ability to hunt in the dark because their eyes reflect any light in their surroundings.

There were parts of this book that were very inspiring and I was awed at the great examples God has put in His creation for us. However, the book as a whole was a little hard to get through. Though I applaud the author for her in-depth study of lionesses and some amazing insights that she brought forth, at times it felt like the analogy was being stretched a little thin. And there were some chapters that seemed to drag on into repetitions and tangents. This took away from what otherwise was a very powerful subject matter.

**I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.**
