God Doesn’t Have Waiting Rooms

Posted on February 2, 2011. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Sometimes life feels like being at an amusement park….a lot of waiting for a few moments of excitement. And lately, it seems like I’ve been forever in line for the main attraction that feels like it’s never going to come. Thankfully, God doesn’t see my life that way. Ephesians 1:11 says, “In Him, we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will.”

Did you hear that? EVERYTHING. God doesn’t waste time or experiences in our lives. Every single bit of it has a purpose. God has no waiting rooms. He doesn’t stick us somewhere just to hang out until He’s ready to do the next thing in our lives.

There’s so much hope in knowing that, even when I do feel like I’ve been in a waiting room for forever or am wondering what in the world God has me in this certain place for!! I haven’t figured it out yet, but I’m glad one of us knows. Time to start praying earnestly by faith that He’ll fulfill that purpose for me and begin to reveal what it is….maybe the places I understand the least are the places He wants to use me most??
