Beware of Mundane Mondays

Posted on August 10, 2010. Filed under: Uncategorized |

On Saturday, I did a post about how I was going to be taking the Psalm 5:3 challenge: to lay all my requests before God each morning and wait in expectation. Well, it’s guaranteed that every time you commit to something like that, Satan’s going to be armed and ready to mess with you. His weapon of choice this time was the dreaded mundane Monday. I had a cloud of doom (and sleepiness and weekend withdrawl etc. etc.) hanging over me all day and it was all I could do to survive. But thank you Jesus that Your grace is sufficient. I survived the day. And thank you that Your mercies are new every morning and today I get a whole new chance. And you know what? There’s an incredible peace that comes with giving your whole day over to Jesus. Nothing out of the ordinary may happen. God may not have a super-gigantic miracle planned for today.  But everything just looks a little brighter when you invite Him to take over your day. And I know He’s meeting me right where I’m at. 🙂
