Your Faith Has Made You Well

“A woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.” Luke 8:43-44

Every time I read the gospels, what stands out to me most is the way the people flock after Jesus. They don’t always know or fully understand who He is, but something deep within them cries out for Him. He’s like a magnet for their broken hearts and lives and their weary, sick bodies. The stories of healing (like the one above) tend to happen when the people let go of all their attempts for freedom and healing and took a step of faith, crying out in desperation to Jesus. It makes me wonder why we aren’t doing the same thing? No, we can’t see Jesus with our physical eyes like those people did, but neither do we have to fight through crowds to get to Him. He’s only a heart cry away. So Jesus, let the walls of independence and stubbornness fall down and let me cry out to you with everything that’s in me!!

Trina….Your insight amazes me. Sometimes when I am hurting I allow myself to stay in my self pity instead of crying out to God…. Lord Help Me to Be More Like You!!!
